BLUEBERRY & APPLE CRUMBLE

Preparation Method :

  • Preheat the oven to Gas Mark 4 / electric oven 180°C. Place the apples and blueberries at the bottom of a greased ovenproof dish and sprinkle the granulated sugar over.
  • Combine the flour; ground almonds and caster sugar in a large mixing bowl. Cut the butter into cubes and add to the bowl.
  • Rub the butter into the flour mixture until it resembles breadcrumbs. Fold in half the flaked almonds and spoon the mixture over the fruit.
  • Sprinkle the remaining flaked almonds on top. Bake in the oven for about 45 minutes or until crumble is golden brown.

INGREDIENTS

  • 100 grams plain flour
  • 100 grams ground almonds
  • 75 grams caster sugar
  • 150 grams unsalted butter
  • 750 grams Bramley apples, peeled, cored and sliced thinly
  • 225 grams blueberries
  • 5 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 3 tablespoons flaked almonds
