APRICOT & ALMOND CRUMBLE

Preparation Method :

  • Preheat the oven to Gas Mark 4 / electric oven 180°C / fan oven I 60°C.
  • Cut the apricots in half, remove the stones and place them, cut- side down, in the bottom of a greased 1 litre buttered pie dish. Sprinkle the granulated sugar over the apricots.
  • Combine the flour sugar and almonds in a bowl, pour in the butter and stir to form a rough crumble.
  • Spoon over the apricots and bake in the oven for about 20 - 25 minutes or until the crumble is golden brown.
  • Serve warm, with custard, cream or vanilla ice cream.

INGREDIENTS

  • 750 grams fresh ripe apricots
  • 2 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 150 grams plain flour
  • 75 grams caster sugar
  • 3 tablespoons blanched almonds, chopped roughly
  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted
