CHEESE-LAYERED CREPES

Preparation Method :

  • Heat the oil, fry the onions until tender; add the meat and cook for 5 minutes.
  • Then drain off the fat and stir in the flour. Remove the pan from the heat, add the tomato sauce and mix well.
  • Add the bouillon cube, bay leaf and adjust the seasoning; cover and simmer for about 5 minutes.
  • Place a crepe at the bottom of a baking dish; spread a layer of meat, then a layer of sauce over it.
  • Sprinkle the cheddar cheese. Repeat the same and end with a layer of sauce and cheese.
  • Bake in the oven for 22 minutes or until golden brown at 180° C / 350° F / Gas mark 4.
  • Garnish with red and green peppers, mushrooms and fresh oregano leaves, serve.

INGREDIENTS

  • 100 grams Cheddar cheese, grated
  • 25 grams Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 50 grams onion, chopped
  • ½ red bell pepper, chopped
  • ½ green bell pepper, chopped
  • 500 grams mutton, minced
  • 35 grams flour
  • 3 tablespoon cooking oil
  • 100 grams tomato sauce
  • 25 grams bouillon cube, dissolved in boiling water
  • 1 bay leaf 
  • A pinch of salt
  • A pinch of pepper
  • 200 grams mornay cheese sauce
  • 10-12 mushrooms, sliced
  • 6 crepes 
  • A few leaves of oregano
