CHOCOLATE LOG

Preparation Time :
30 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Place the dried berries and cherries and brandy or kirsch in a food processor and blend until the fruit is finely chopped.
  • Add the cream cheese and blend again. Transfer to a bowl and stir in the chocolate. Fold in the cream thoroughly.
  • Use half of the mixture to sandwich the biscuits together in three stacks and then press them together to create a log on a tray covered with baking parchment.
  • Use the remaining mixture to cover the log completely, making sure that biscuits are visible. Chill overnight.
  • Just before serving, dust with icing sugar and arrange decorations on top.

INGREDIENTS

  • 250 grams cream cheese
  • 150 grams plain chocolate, melted
  • 300 ml double cream, whipped 
  • 100 grams dried berries and cherries
  • 50 ml brandy or kirsch
  • 14 - 16 digestive biscuits
  • Icing sugar and Christmas decorations, to decorate
