GRAPEFRUIT BRULEE

Preparation Time :
15 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Halve the grapefruit. Use a grapefruit knife to remove the flesh by cutting between the membranes.
  • Place the flesh in bowl with cinnamon and half the sugar.
  • Remove the membranes from grapefruit halves and fill the halves with flesh mixture.
  • Sprinkle over remaining sugar then cook under preheated grill (broiler) until top is golden brown.
  • Serve hot with pouring (light) cream or yogurt.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 grapefruit
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 4 tablespoons demerara sugar
