PEPPER CHICKEN

Preparation Time :

Preparation Method :

  • Heat the oil in a frying pan and saute the ginger, garlic and green chillies for 3 minutes.
  • Add the onion and cook for 5-10 minutes.
  • Toss in the tomatoes and curry leaves and fry until the onion is golden brown.
  • Add the spices, salt and pepper and cook for 5 minutes.
  • Once the masalas are cooked, add the chicken cubes and braise for 10 minutes.
  • Garnish with whole red chillies and fried curry leaves and serve hot with Kerala parottas or appams.

 

INGREDIENTS

  • 6 teaspoon Whole black pepper, crushed
  • 500 grams Chicken, deboned and cubed
  • 4 Dried red chillies, deep-fried
  • 100 ml Sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoon Ginger, sliced
  • 2 tablespoon Garlic cloves, sliced
  • 10 Green chillies, sliced
  • 2 Onions, chopped
  • 1 Tomato, chopped
  • 15 Curry leaves
  • 2 tablespoon Chilli powder
  • 2 tablespoon Coriander powder
  • ½ teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
