MAKHMALI CHICKEN MASALA

Preparation Method :
- Mix together milk with water. Heat and bring to boil.
- Grind together ginger, garlic along with all the saboot masalas. Use a little water if required.
- Add the ground masala with red chili powder and ¼ teaspoon salt.
- Few minutes later add in chicken .Simmer,cover and cook till chicken is tender and completely dry. Remove from fire. Cool.
- To the cooked chicken add all the coating ingredients. Mix well.
- Heat oil and fry 2-3 pieces at a time to a golden brown colour.
- Heat 2 tablespoon oil in a pan. Add onion and capsicum pieces. Stir for a few minutes till onions turn soft. Add little salt and tomato puree,cook for about 2 minutes on low heat.
- Add fried chicken pieces. Sprinkle garam masala. Toss for a minute till the chicken turns hot and soft. Serve immediately.
INGREDIENTS
- 500 grams chicken - cut into pieces
- 150 ml milk
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- Salt to taste

- 3 green cardamoms
- 1" stick Cinnamon
- ¾ teaspoon fennel
- 2 peppercorns
- 2 cloves
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 2 teaspoon coriander seeds
- ½ " piece ginger
- 2-3 flakes garlic
Coating
- 100 grams gram flour
- 75 ml curd
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh coriander
- Salt to taste
- ¼ teaspoon red chili powder
- ¼ teaspoon carom seeds
Other Ingredients
- 50 ml IDHAYAM Sesame oil
- 2 capsicums - cut into 1" pieces
- 2 onions - cut into 4 pieces
- 200 grams tomato puree
- ½ teaspoon garam masala
