KADHAI MURG

Preparation Method :

  • Heat oil in a wok or pan. Reduce heat. Add methi dana and whole red chilies and stir for a few seconds.
  • Add onion cook on medium heat till light brown.
  • Add garlic and tomatoes stir for 1 minute.
  • Then add in the coriander powder, red chili powder.
  • Add chicken and cook for 5 minutes on high flame, stir well.
  • Adjust seasoning, cover and cook for about 15 minutes till tender, stirring occasionally.
  • Add tomato puree and chopped green coriander. Cook for 2 minutes.
  • Finally add the capsicum, ginger chunks and green chili slices. Mix well.
  • Reduce heat,stir in the cream and mix well and remove from heat .
  • Serve hot.

INGREDIENTS

  • 750 grams chicken - cut into 10 pieces
  • 6 tablespoons oil
  • ¼ teaspoon fenugreek seeds
  • 3 whole, dry red chilies 
  • 18 flakes garlic - crushed & chopped 
  • 3 large onions - cut into slices
  • 4 large tomatoes - chopped
  • 50 ml tomato puree 
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 2 ½ tablespoon coriander seeds - roasted lightly and coarsely pounded or crushed 
  • 5 tablespoons cream 
  • 100 grams chopped green coriander 
  • 1 capsicum - cut into thick fingers 
  • 2" piece ginger - cut into match sticks 
  • 2 green chilies - cut into thin long slices
