JHATPAT AJWAINI MURG

Preparation Method :

  • Marinate the chicken with curd, ajwain, ginger-garlic paste, red chilies and salt for about 30 minutes.
  • Heat oil in a pan, add the chicken pieces leaving behind the marinade.
  • Cook on high flame till the chicken turns brown and all the juices get absorbed. Do not overlap the pieces of chicken while browning.
  • Lower the heat and add the marinade which is left behind with ½ cup of water. Cover and cook for about 10 minutes.
  • Add in the cream and coriander. Stir fry till the chicken is dry and coated with coriander.
  • Serve hot.

INGREDIENTS

  • 500 grams chicken, cut into 8 pieces
  • 100 grams yogurt
  • 2 teaspoons carom seeds(ajwain)
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tablespoon coarsely crushed red chilies or red chili flakes
  • 75 ml fresh (thick) cream or malai
  • salt to taste
  • 3 tablespoons IDHAYAM Sesame oil
  • 3 tablespoons chopped fresh green coriander
