CHICKEN IN RICE BORDER

Another chicken recipe that may gratify you up is the Chicken in Rice Border. Allow 40 minutes for cooking time. This has joined its ingredients for it to taste delicious! Half-lemon juice, butter, rice, tomato ketchup can be added onto it! So serve and definitely enjoy!

Preparation Time :
45 minutes

Cooking Time :
40 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Boil the meat in 2 liter of water with salt and simmer for an hour.
  • When there is about 1liter of water left in the pan drain the meat and dry.
  • Strain the stock through a sieve and keep aside.
  • Cook the rice in the above stock with lemon juice, till it is dry.
  • Grease a ring mould and transfer the rice into it.
  • Press well and turn out into a flat serving dish.
  • Fry the chicken in the butter till it is evenly brown.
  • Arrange the pieces in the centre.
  • Garnish with fried onion, etc., and drop tomato ketchup to make it look attractive.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1½ kilograms small chicken jointed
  • Juice of half lemon
  • 500 grams tomato ketchup
  • Salt to taste
  • 500 grams rice - washed and soaked
  • Butter for frying
  • Any garnishing like fried onions or celery
