QUICK CHICKEN BITES

Preparation Method :

  • Mix the milk with ¼ cup water, heat and bring to a boil.
  • Add the ground masala with red chili powder and ¾ teaspoon salt.
  • Add chicken also to the milk. Cover and cook for about 10-15 minutes or until the chicken turns tender.
  • Remove from heat and keep it aside.
  • To the cooked chicken add all the coating ingredients and mix well.
  • Heat oil and fry 2 pieces at a time to a golden brown colour.
  • Garnish with onion rings and lemon wedges, Serve hot with mint chutney.

INGREDIENTS

  • 500 grams chicken - cut into pieces or 6 legs (drumsticks)
  • 200 ml milk
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • Salt to taste
  • IDHAYAM sesame oil for frying

Ginger-Garlic Paste

  • ½" piece ginger
  • 2-3 flakes garlic
  • 2 peppercorns (saboot kali mirch)
  • 3 cloves (laung)
  • 3 green cardamoms(chhoti illaichi)
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds(jeera)
  • 2 teaspoons coriander seeds(saboot dhania)
  • ¾ " chinnamon (stick dalchini)
  • ¾ teaspoon fennel(saunf)

Coating

  • 120 grams besan
  • 100 ml curd
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh coriander
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon red chili powder
  • ¼ teaspoon carom seeds(ajwain)
