CHICKEN IN FOIL

Preparation Method :

  • Mix the soy sauce, sherry and sesame seed oil together. Add the chicken and toss well to coat, then leave to marinate for 15 to 20 minutes.
  • Cut out 16 pieces of foil large enough to enclose the pieces of chicken generously.
  • Brush the foil with oil, place a piece of chicken in the centre and top with a piece of spring onion, some ginger and celery.
  • Fold the foil over to enclose the chicken and seal the edges well. Place in a steamer and steam for 10 to 12 minutes.
  • Serve hot in the foil. 

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoon dry sherry
  • 2 tablespoon sesame seed oil
  • 750 grams boned chicken breast, cut into 16 equal pieces
  • 8 spring onions, each cut into 4 pieces
  • 2 inch piece root ginger, peeled and shredded
  • 2 celery stalk, shredded
