CHICKEN SIZZLER

Preparation Time :

Preparation Method :

  • Marinate the chicken pieces with all the ingredients given under the marinade for 2 hours.
  • Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a pressure cooker. Add the marinated chicken pieces and stir fry on high flame till the chicken is dry.
  • Add 1 cup water and cook for about 10-12 minutes. Remove the chicken pieces leaving behind the liquid.
  • To the liquid in the pan, add 1½ cups water or chicken stock, garlic,tomato puree, Worcestershire sauce and chili paste.
  • Heat 2 tablespoons oil in nonstick pan, add maida. Stir on low flame for about 30 seconds.
  • Add the retained liquid to which sauces and water are added, and cook stirring continuously till it turns a little thick. Remove from fire.
  • While serving, heat the iron plate and scatter 1 tablespoon butter. Place the cabbage leaves on the plate and arrange rice on it.
  • Leave on low flame for 2 minutes for the rice to get heated. Arrange chicken fillet and place the hot vegetables and French fries on the sides, with sauce in the on the bed of the rice.
  • Place the iron plate on the on the wooden tray.
  • Serve sizzling hot.

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 chicken fillets (breast pieces) bone or boneless, without wings

Marinade 

  • 2 tablespoon vinegar 
  • 3 tablespoons tomato ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon mustard paste 
  • Pepper and salt , to taste
  • 1 tablespoon IDHAYAM Sesame oil

Sauce

  • 1 teaspoon garlic - chopped and crushed 
  • 2 tablespoon maida (plain flour) 
  • 3 tablespoons tomato puree
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce 
  • ½ teaspoon chili paste or powder 
  • 350 ml water or stock
  • 2 tablespoons IDHAYAM Sesame oil
