BATTERED FRIED CHICKEN

Preparation Method :

  • Season the chicken with salt and pepper. Place in a large bowl and drizzle with the lemon juice. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
  • Squeeze the pieces of marinated chicken to remove excess lemon juice. Dip in the flour and then in the egg.
  • Fry the garlic in the oil in a large, deep frying pan until pale gold. Discard the garlic. Fry the chicken in batches in the oil until cooked and golden brown, 15 minutes. Drain on paper towels and serve hot.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 kg chicken pieces
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • Freshly squeezed juice of 3 lemons
  • 100 grams all-purpose (plain) flour
  • 4 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 4 cloves garlic, peeled but whole
  • 500 ml sesame oil, for frying
