BAKED CRUNCHY CHICKEN

Preparation Method :

  • In a zip lock bag, add all the ingredients of wet marinade with half cup water.
  • Add chicken drumsticks to this, lock the bag and shake it vigorously so that all the ingredients get mixed properly.
  • Place this bag in the fridge and marinate the chicken overnight.
  • But do not marinate over 20 hours.
  • In a container (with tight light lid/cover), add all the ingredients of dry marinade.
  • Close the container tightly and shake so that all the ingredients blend well.
  • Preheat the oven at 2200 C.
  • Remove the chicken drumsticks marinated in yogurt and roll in the dry marinade so that the drumstick is well coated with the second marinade.
  • Roll properly so that a nice thick coating is formed around the chicken drumstick. This is very important to have a nice crispy coating.
  • Grease a baking tray using little oil. Place the chicken drumsticks and drizzle melted butter over them. Sprinkle some more crushed cornflakes.
  • Bake at 2200 C for about 35-40 minutes.
  • Remove from oven and enjoy with salad.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 large Chicken drumsticks without skin
  • 2 tablespoon melted butter
  • IDHAYAM MANTRA peanut Oil for greasing
  • 100 grams Crushed Wheat Flakes

Wet marinade:

  • 100 ml thick yogurt
  • 2 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tablespoon white pepper powder

Dry marinade:

  • 100 grams Besan
  • 100 grams Corn Flour
  • 1 tablespoon Red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 tablespoon Cumin powder
  • 1 tablespoon Coriander seeds' powder
  • 1 tablespoon Onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon Crushed Black Pepper
  • 100 grams chopped Curry leaves
  • Salt to taste
  • A pinch of Sugar
  • 150 grams Crushed Wheat Flakes
