CHICKEN PAPRIKA

Preparation Method :

  • Sprinkle the chicken portions with the salt and paprika. Put in a grill pan, without the rack, and cook under a preheated grill for 5 minutes on each side, or until well browned.
  • Remove and place in a lidded casserole with the chicken stock and the onion.
  • Cover and simmer over a moderate heat for 30 to 40 minutes or until tender, adding more stock if necessary.
  • Lift out the chicken portions, place on a warmed serving dish and keep hot.
  • Stir in the yogurt and adjust the seasoning. Heat slowly, stirring well, but do not allow to boil.
  • Pour over the chicken and sprinkle with chopped parsley.
  • Serve hot.

INGREDIENTS

  • 8 chicken pieces
  • 2 teaspoon salt
  • 4 teaspoons paprika
  • 300 ml chicken stock
  • 2 onion, peeled and finely chopped
  • 300 ml plain low-fat yogurt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • 4 tablespoons finely chopped parsley, to garnish
