CHICKEN IN MUSTARD SAUCE

30 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Heat 2 tablespoons butter in a non stick pan. When hot ,add in the chicken pieces.
  • Stir fry the chicken on moderate heat till the pieces are slightly brown, then add salt and continue cooking till the pieces are tender.
  • Drain the chicken piece on kitchen paper.
  • In a separate pan heat the remaining 2 tablespoons butter. Add chopped onion and garlic, cook till onion change colour slightly.
  • Add maida with milk, mustard paste, cream, pepper and salt. Cook on low flame till sauce thickens.
  • Add the drained chicken to the sauce, cook for about 5 minutes.
  • Garnished with chopped parsley or coriander.
  • Serve hot with Chapatis or pulao.

INGREDIENTS

  • 750 grams chicken - cut into 12 pieces
  • 2 onions - chopped finely
  • 1 tablespoon chopped garlic
  • ½ cup milk
  • ½ cups cream
  • 3 tablespoon mustard paste
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons flour (maida)
  • 4 tablespoons butter fresh parsley for garnishing
