CHICKEN IN BLACK BEAN SAUCE

Chicken in Black Bean Sauce is another appetizing dish that you would want to add in your menu. Its excellent combination of ingredients gives this dish its luscious taste. Serving it with steamed rice will make a complete delicious chicken recipe treat.

Preparation Method :

  • Cut the chicken meat into 2-cm dice. Cut the celery into thin diagonal slices.
  • Rinse the black beans and mash with a fork. Add the soy sauce, garlic, ginger, sherry and half chicken Stock; mix well.
  • Stir the corn flour into the remaining Chicken Stock.
  • Heat the oil in a wok; add the chicken and stir-fry, tossing for 2 minutes. Pour in the black bean mixture and stir until boiling.
  • Add the corn flour mixture, stirring constantly, until it thickens-about I minute.
  • Add the celery slices and toss in the sauce for 1 minute more. Serve immediately with steamed rice.

INGREDIENTS

  • 500 grams chicken breast fillet
  • 3 stalks celery
  • 2 teaspoons canned salted black beans
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • ½ teaspoon finely grated fresh ginger
  • 1 tablespoon dry sherry
  • 125 ml cold Chicken Stock  
  • 1 teaspoon corn flour
  • 1 tablespoon oil
