Preparation Method :
- Preheat the oven to 180°C / 350°F / Gas mark 4. Put 20 - 24 paper cupcake cases in a muffin pan or put 24 double thick paper cases on a baking sheet.
- Put the margarine, sugar, eggs and flour in a large bowl, beat together until just smooth. Spoon the batter into the paper cases.
- Bake the cupcakes in the preheated oven for 15 minutes or until well risen, golden brown and firm to the touch. Transfer to a wire rack and let cool.
- The Frosting: Put the butter in a bowl and beat until fluffy. Sift in the confectioners' sugar and the vanilla extract to taste and beat together until smooth and creamy.
- When the cupcakes are cool, spread the frosting on top of each cupcake, then decorate with the candy and chocolates.

- 220 grams superfine sugar
- 220 grams self-rising white flour
- 150 grams soft margarine
- 4 eggs
- A selection of candy and chocolates, to garnish

- 100 grams unsalted butter, softened
- 100 grams confectioners' sugar
- Sifted vanilla extract, to taste
