PEACH AND WALNUT SHORTCAKE
Peach and walnut are perfect combination as cake flavours. They create a sweet and distinct taste for the cake to be craved by many. The peach slices and whipped cream on top of the cake makes it look fruity and elegant to serve.

Preparation Method :
- Base:Preheat the oven to hot.
- Cream together the butter, sugar, baking powder, walnuts and egg. Add the flour. Knead, adding a little milk at a time, to make a consistency like scone.
- Cut into half and roll each piece into 8" rounds. Place on a greased baking sheet and bake until crisp and golden brown. Allow to cool.
- Filling:Whip the cream with the vanilla and sugar till fluffy. Slice the peaches.
- Spread a thick layer of whipped cream on one of the shortcake rounds. Put half the peach slices on top of the cream. Place the other shortcake round on top of this to make a sandwich.
- Decorate the top with the remaining whipped cream and peach slices.

Base
- 150 grams butter
- 100 grams granulated sugar
- 2 level teaspoon baking powder
- 100 grams walnuts, chopped
- 1 egg
- 250 grams flour
- Milk to mix
Filling
- 250 ml cream
- ¼ teaspoon vanilla essence
- 1 tablespoon ground sugar
- 6 peaches
