GREEN TEA LYCHEE FRAPPE

Preparation Time :
20 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Drain syrup from lychees, reserving syrup.
  • Place lychees in single layer in medium resalable food storage bag; place in freezer until frozen.
  • Cover and refrigerate syrup.
  • Heat water and ginger in small saucepan over medium-high heat until water begins to steam and barely simmer.
  • Remove from heat; add tea bags.
  • Let steep 3 minutes. Discard ginger and tea bags.
  • Pour tea into heat-resistant pitcher; cover and refrigerate until cool.
  • Place frozen lychees, chilled green tea, and ½ cup reserved syrup in blender.
  • Blend on HIGH until smooth and well combined, about 20 seconds.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cans lychees in syrup, undrained
  • 400 ml water
  • 2 slices peeled ginger (¼ inch thick, 2 inches wide)
  • 3 green tea bags
