- Bring water to a boil in medium saucepan over medium-high heat.
- Pour 2 cups of boiling water over tea bags in teapot or 2-cup heatproof measuring cup. Steep tea 4 minutes or until very dark.
- Remove tea bags from teapot; discard. Stir in honey and almond extract and set aside to cool.
- Meanwhile, add tapioca to remaining 1 ½ cups boiling water and continue to boil over medium-high heat until tapioca is translucent and cooked through, 3 to 4 minutes.
- Transfer tapioca to fine-mesh strainer and rinse under cold water until cool to the touch.
- Divide tapioca between 2 tall glasses, then pour 2 tablespoons milk into each glass. Fill each glass three-fourths full with ice. Divide tea between glasses; stir to combine.

- 50 ml whole milk, divided
