PEANUTS ROASTED WITH RED BEAN-CURD CHEESE

Preparation Method :

  • Heat the oven to 300F/150C gas 2.
  • Put the peanuts, bean-curd cheese, sugar and water into a saucepan. Bring to a boil, and cook for 2 minutes, stirring so all the liquid evaporates.
  • Spread the coated nuts on a baking sheet. Put them in the oven for 20 minutes, turning several times. They should be quite dry.
  • Turn the peanuts on to a tray or plate and let cool. Store in an airtight jar.

INGREDIENTS

  • 250 grams peanuts
  • 2 tablespoons mashed red bean- curd cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Barbados sugar
  • 4 tablespoons water
