Preparation Method :
- Put the florets into a sufficiently large preserving jar.
- Distribute the onions, garlic and lemon together with the star anis, chillies and the peppercorns on the cauliflower.
- Boil the vinegar with 3 cups of water and the sugar, pour it over the cauliflower.
- Let the whole thing cool down for at least 10 - 12 hours and close the jar.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 medium size cauliflower, washed, florets cooked and cooled
- 150 grams sugar
- 350 ml vinegar
- 3 onions, peeled and finely chopped
- 3-4 cloves of garlic, peeled and finely chopped
- 1 untreated lemon, cut into slices
- 2 star anis
- 2-3 dried chillies
- 1½ tablespoon peppercorns
- Salt, to taste
