Preparation Method :
- Mix the cucumber slices with the salt and let it stand for about 30 minutes.
- Boil the vinegar together with half a cup of water, mustard and coriander seeds, the peppercorns, the chillies, the bay leaves and the sugar.
- Drain the cucumbers and shake off the excess liquid, put them into the boiling decoction and let the whole thing boil for about 5-7 minutes.
- Take the cucumbers out of the brew with a straining ladle and fill a glass jar with them.
- Boil the decoction again and pour it over the cucumbers immediately.
- Put a lid on the glass jar. The Berlin style cucumbers can be stored for about 6 months in a dark and cool place.

- 900 grams salad cucumber, peeled, deseeded and cut into slices
- 250 ml dill vinegar
- 4 tablespoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon mustard seeds
- 1 tablespoon peppercorns
- 1½ teaspoon coriander seeds
- 3-4 dried chillies
- 2 bay leaves
- Salt, to taste
