MOONG TOAST

Preparation Method :
- Mix moong dhal paste with coriander leaves, baking powder, besan, lemon juice and salt.
- Heat the oil in a non stick pan or griddle. Butter the slices lightly.
- Spread the dhal mixture on the slice on the buttered side.
- Invert the slice with the dhal side down in the pan. Spread some dhal paste on the upper side and shallow fry on both sides until light brown.
- Remove from pan and serve hot with tomato sauce or mint chutney.
INGREDIENTS
- 150 grams Moong dhal - soaked for about an hour and ground to a paste with green chillies
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 75 ml cooking oil
- 4 green chilies
- A bunch of coriander leaves - chopped finely
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- 1 tablespoon besan
- 4 slices bread - lightly buttered
- Salt to taste
