- Mix all the thousand island dressing ingredients together well. Cover and chill to make ½ cup of dressing.
- Place the toasted slices on a tray and place a lettuce leaf.
- Spread with thousand island dressing.
- Spread crushed pineapple.
- Place a slice of ham, then salami and cheese cut into triangles on it.
- Serve garnished with fresh fruit balls of melon or papaya.
INGREDIENTS
- 9 slices sandwich bread - toasted and trimmed
- 1 small can pineapple - drained and crushed
- 9 slices of salami
- 9 slices of ham
- 9 slices of cheese
- A small papaya or melon - scoop out balls
- A few lettuce leaves
Thousand Island Dressing
- 5 tablespoon mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoon ketchup
- 2 tablespoon pickle relish
- 2 teaspoon chopped onion
- 1 hard cooked egg, chopped
