APRICOT TOASTS

Preparation Method :

  • Beat together the egg and milk, pour into a shallow dish. Dip the bread slices into the mixture until they are coated on both sides and have absorbed the egg mixture.
  • Melt the butter in a frying pan and fry the slices of bread until crisp and golden on both sides. Drain on kitchen paper.
  • Mix the sugar and cinnamon, sprinkle on to the bread. Top with the apricots, whipped cream and nuts and serve immediately.

INGREDIENTS

  • 350 grams apricot halves in juice, drained
  • 150 ml whipping cream, whipped
  • 3 teaspoon milk
  • 2½ tablespoon butter
  • 2 tablespoons castor sugar
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 egg
  • 4-8 small slices of plain bread, crusts removed
  • 1 tablespoon toasted almonds
