WHOLEMEAL SHORTBREAD

25 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Beat butter and sugar in medium bowl until smooth, add sifted flours and water; beat until combined.
  • Knead the dough gently on lightly floured surface until smooth. Roll dough between sheets of baking paper.
  • Cut into small rounds using cookie cutter, place on greased oven trays, mark in half.
  • Bake in moderately slow oven about 20 - 25 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool on trays.

INGREDIENTS

  • 250 grams wholemeal plain flour
  • 175 grams white plain flour
  • 250 grams butter
  • 100 grams castor sugar
  • 75 grams rice flour
  • 2 tablespoons water
