Preparation Method :
- Cut loaf of bread in half through the centre horizontally, brush the cut sides with olive oil.
- Sprinkle the bottom halves with salt and pepper to taste, then divide the tomato halves among the bottom pieces of bread, cut sides down.
- Top each sandwich base with 2 slices of prosciutto, folded to fit as necessary, then add fresh basil leaves.
- Place the tops on the sandwiches and press down, crushing the tomatoes into the bread.
- Toast the sandwiches lightly, to brown and crisp the crust, turning them once. Serve.

- 220 grams cherry tomatoes, cut in half
- 2 tablespoon Extra-virgin olive oil
- 8 thin slices prosciutto
- 2 loaves ciabatta bread, each cut in half
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 small bunch fresh basil leaves
