BREAD AND BUTTER PUDDING

The taste of butter is mixed with the special flavourings of honey, cloves and nutmeg. This Bread and Butter Pudding will save you from hunger anytime. You can have this for your breakfast, afternoon snack or even for your midnight snack.

Preparation Time :
30 minutes

Cooking Time :
50 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Bring the milk and sago to a boil. Reduce the flame and cook for 20 minutes. Leave to cool.
  • Beat in eggs, honey and spices into the cooled mixture
  • Gently cook apples in butter until soft. Cut the bread into triangles and arrange in individual moulds and fill with sago mixture.
  • Pour a cup of hot water onto the baking / cooking tray.
  • Place the mould on the tray. Preheat the oven to 180° C .
  • Place the tray in the oven in the centre rack position and bake at 180° C for 45 minutes.
  • Using the mittens provided remove and cool. Refrigerate for an hour before serving.

INGREDIENTS

  • 750 ml Milk
  • 10 tablespoon Sago (Sabudhana)
  • 6 Eggs
  • 4 tablespoon Honey
  • 1 teaspoon Nutmeg powder
  • 1 teaspoon Cloves (powdered)
  • 4 Apples Peeled & Sliced (optional)
  • 4 tablespoon Butter
  • 15 Bread Slices
