Preparation Method :
- Sift flours into medium bowl, rub in butter; stir in egg. Press mixture over base of greased rectangular slice pan.
- Bake in moderate oven 15 minutes, sprinkle evenly with nuts, pour over topping. Bake in moderate oven further 15 minutes or until topping is just set. Cool in pan.
- Topping: Combine all ingredients in small bowl; mix well.

- 100 grams plain flour
- 25 grams self-raising flour
- 100 grams butter, chopped
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 250 grams pecans

- 50 grams butter, melted
- 75 ml golden syrup
- 50 grams brown sugar
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 2 tablespoons self-raising flour
