CHOCOLATE NUT SLICE

Preparation Method :

  • Topping: Beat eggs in small bowl with electric mixer until thick, gradually add sugar, beat until combined. Fold in sifted flour, peanuts, coconut and essence.
  • Beat butter, essence, sugar and yolk in small bowl until smooth.
  • Stir in the sifted flour and cocoa. Press mixture over base of greased rectangular slice pan.
  • Spread topping over base; sprinkle with combined nuts and coconut.
  • Bake in moderate oven about 30 minutes or until browned. Cool in pan. Cut into pieces using a serrated knife. Drizzle with chocolate.

  • 50 grams butter
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 1 tablespoon caster sugar
  • 100 grams plain flour
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa
  • 2 tablespoons chopped unsalted roasted peanuts
  • 150 grams shredded coconut
  • 50 grams dark chocolate, melted
  • 250 grams firmly packed brown sugar
  • 30 grams self-raising flour
  • 75 grams chopped unsalted roasted peanuts
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 egg yolk
