ALMOND CHOCOLATE FINGERS

25 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Beat butter, almonds and sugar in small bowl until smooth, add eggs and beat until just combined.
  • Stir in sifted flour; spread over base of greased Swiss roll pan. Bake in moderately hot oven about 10 - 12 minutes or until lightly browned; allow to stand for 5 minutes.
  • Spread base with topping, bake in moderately hot oven further 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Cut while warm; lift onto wire racks to cool.
  • Dip biscuits into combined chocolate and oil; leave to set on wire racks.
  • Combine all ingredients in medium pan, stir over heat, without boiling, until sugar is dissolved. Bring to boil, simmer, uncovered, without stirring, 4 minutes or until thickened slightly.

  • 120 grams packaged ground almonds  
  • 100 grams castor sugar
  • 2 tablespoons plain flour
  • 100 grams dark chocolate, melted
  • 100 grams butter, chopped
  • 100 grams  castor sugar
  • 100 ml glucose syrup
  • 100 grams  flaked almonds
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 teaspoon cooking oil
  • 2 tablespoons water
