SWEET BUNS

Preparation Method :

  • Put the yeast and sugar in a bowl. Add ¼ cup of warm water and keep aside for about 15 minutes or until the mixture appears frothy.
  • Sieve the flour with the milk powder and the salt. Add a few drops of colour and the vanilla essence. Prepare a dough by mixing all the ingredients.
  • Ferment it at least for 30 minutes. Keep the dough in a large bowl and cover with a wet towel or a greased plastic cling film.
  • When the dough doubles in size, punch it and divide into equal portions and shape into balls. Place on a greased tray and brush with beaten egg. Allow to stand for about 20 minutes.
  • Bake at 220°C / 425°F for 20 minutes or till golden brown and done.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 tablespoon margarine
  • 250 grams refined flour
  • 2 tablespoon fresh yeast
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 50 ml water
  • A few drops lemon yellow colour
  • A little beaten egg
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 1 egg
  • 2 teaspoon, Milk Powder
