MALT BISCUITS

Preparation Method :

  • Beat butter, sugar and egg in small bowl until smooth. Stir in golden syrup, malt extract and sifted dry ingredients; mix to a soft dough.
  • Knead dough gently on lightly floured surface until smooth, cover; refrigerate 20 - 30 minutes.
  • Roll dough between sheets of baking paper. Cut into small rounds using cookie cutter, place on greased oven trays.
  • Bake in stow oven about 20 - 22 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool on trays.

INGREDIENTS

  • 400 grams plain flour
  • 150 grams butter
  • 100 grams caster sugar
  • 2 tablespoons golden syrup
  • 2 tablespoons malt extract
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
  • 1 egg
