- Beat butter, essence and sugar in small bowl with electric mixer until smooth, add egg and milk, beat only until combined.
- Stir in the sifted flours, mix to a soft dough, knead gently on lightly floured surface until smooth, cover and refrigerate for about 20 - 30 minutes.
- Roll dough between sheets of baking paper. Cut into small rounds using cookie cutter, place on greased oven trays.
- Brush rounds with extra milk, sprinkle with hundreds and thousands. Bake in moderate oven about 10 - 12 minutes or until firm. Cool on trays.

- ½ teaspoon vanilla essence
- 75 grams caster sugar
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 2 tablespoons hundreds and thousands (sprinkles)
