SHAHI FISH FLAN

Preparation Method :

  • Combine half cup flour with milk and stir in the grated cheese, chopped vegetables, adjust seasoning. Bring to a boil and cook till the sauce thickens.
  • Add the sauce to the cream, egg yolk and fish. Fold in the beaten egg white.
  • Prepare a pastry dough with the remaining flour, water, salt and ghee.
  • Roll out each portion into a round chapati, cut the edges neatly, put the fish filling in it and bake in a moderately hot oven for about 15-20 minutes.
  • Serve garnished with lemon wedges and tomato slices.

INGREDIENTS

  • 150 grams White flesh fish, cleaned, washed, boiled, deboned and flaked 
  • 150 grams Mushrooms finely chopped 
  • 100 grams Ghee
  • 400 ml Milk 
  • 175 grams Flour
  • ½ teaspoon Parsley chopped 
  • 75 grams Cheese grated 
  • 75 grams Fresh cream whipped 
  • 1 Egg separated, beaten 
  • 1 Spring Onion 
  • Water as required
  • Salt to taste
  • Thinly sliced tomatoes to garnish
  • Lemon wedges to garnish
