CHEESY FISH PUFF

Preparation Method :

  • Roll pastry into an oblong about 12 x 8 inch, cut into half and place one half on a baking tray.
  • Roll remaining pastry by about 6mm on all sides.
  • Flake fish and place in a bowl. Add the grated cheese and eggs. Season to taste with salt, black pepper and marjoram.
  • Spread mixture over the smaller piece of pastry, leaving a narrow border on all sides.
  • Cover with larger piece of pastry, pinching edges together.
  • Brush the pastry with reserved beaten egg and set aside for about 10 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 180°C / 350°F.
  • Bake for 25 minutes or until pastry is well risen and golden.

INGREDIENTS

  • 250 grams cooked fish 
  • 10 slices prepared puff pastry
  • 50 grams grated Cheddar cheese
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • Freshly ground black pepper and Salt, to taste
  • Dried marjoram
