GIGGLE CAKE

This giggle cake is not an ordinary menu and can completely change your appetite. With its combined white wine and maples, this recipe becomes more tempting and tasty. Every single bite will reminds you its perfect flavorings and other added seasonings.

1 hour 15 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Put the mixed dried fruit into a large bowl and cover with boiling water. Leave to soak for 10-15 minutes, and then drain well.
  • Put the butter or margarine and sugar into a large saucepan and heat gently until melted.
  • Add the drained mixed dried fruit and cook over a low heat, stirring frequently, for 4-5 minutes.
  • Remove from the heat and transfer to a mixing bowl. Leave to cool.
  • Sift the flour and salt into the dried fruit mixture and stir well.
  • Add the eggs, mixing until thoroughly incorporated.
  • Add the pineapples and cherries to the cake mixture and stir to combine.
  • Transfer to a greased and lined 1 kg/2 lb loaf tin (pan) and level the surface.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C/350°F/Gas Mark 4 for about 1 hour.
  • Test the cake with a tin skewer: if it comes out clean, the cake is cooked. If not, return to the oven for a few more minutes.

  • 350 grams mixed dried fruit
  • 125 grams butter or margarine
  • 200 grams soft brown sugar
  • 250 grams self-raising flour
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 250 grams can of chopped pineapple, drained
  • 125 grams glace (candied) cherries, halved
