SALTED ALMONDS

Preparation Time :
10 minutes

Cooking Time :
15 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Lightly brushes a baking sheet with oil.
  • Whisk the egg white with a fork in a bowl, add the almonds and mix together until coated.
  • Lightly crush the sea salt in a polythene bag with a rolling pin until finely ground.
  • Add the salt to the nuts with the paprika (if used) and toss together until well coated.
  • Spread the nuts in a single layer on the baking sheet and cook in a preheated oven for 6-8 minutes until golden.
  • Leave them to cool on the baking sheet then tip them into a bowl.
  • Salted almonds can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days.

INGREDIENTS

  • Cooking oil for brushing
  • 3 teaspoons egg white
  • 300 grams whole unblanched almonds
  • 15 grams sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon hot smoked paprika (optional)
