- Skin and bone the tuna and cut into chunks. Put into a bowl with the juice of 1 lemon, the bay leaves and oil. Grind black pepper over it, mix well and marinate for 1 hour, turn it frequently.
- Meanwhile wash the tomatoes. Make a small incision in the tops and squeeze out the seeds. Insert a drop of oil, salt, and a few thyme leaves in each.
- Slice the second lemon. Thread the fish, onions, tomatoes, bay leaves and lemon slices alternately on a skewer. Pour the remaining marinade over it and season with salt and pepper.
- Cook under a preheated hot grill for about 10 - 12 minutes - then serve immediately with rice pilaf and a green salad.
