PLAIN PILAF RICE

Preparation Time :
2 hours

Cooking Time :
30 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Wash the rice in a sieve under running water until it is clear Soak for 2 hours in cold water, then drain.
  • Boil 350 ml water, and add the butter or oil, salt and rice.
  • Bring back to the boil, stir well, cover and cook for 15 - 20 minutes. To colour , add saffron or turmeric to the water.

INGREDIENTS

  • 250 grams long-grain rice
  • 2  tablespoons Cooking oil or butter
  • Salt to taste
