FRIED FISH

Serves :

Preparation Time :
1 hour

Cooking Time :
15 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Wash and clean the fish under running water, then pat dry on kitchen paper.
  • Mix garlic, cumin, salt and pepper and parsley together and rub over the fish inside and out. Cover and chill for atleast 1 hour so the fish will absorb the flavours.
  • Now roll each fish in the flour. Heat enough oil in a frying pan to shallow fry them. When it is sizzling hot, slip each fish in and cook quickly on both sides, about 8-10 minutes.
  • Serve garnish it with lemon and tomato.

INGREDIENTS

  • 8 fish (fresh sardines or herrings) 
  • 4 cloves garlic, finely chopped 
  • ½ teaspoon ground cumin 
  • Salt and white pepper  to taste
  • 1½ tablespoons finely chopped parsley 
  • Plain flour, to coat 
  • IDHAYAM sesame oil
  • Sliced lemon and tomato , to garnish
