MEXICAN TURKEY CHILLI

Preparation Method :

  • Heat butter in a wok.
  • Sauté the ground turkey, onions, peppers, tomatoes and garlic over medium heat until meat is brown and vegetables are tender. (10 - 12 minutes).
  • Now add the red kidney beans and then gently pour in the tomato sauce. Stir it well.
  • Add the seasoning ingredients like chilli powder, cumin powder, salt and pepper.
  • Simmer at low temperature for 25 - 30 minutes (uncovered).
  • Serve it hot.

INGREDIENTS

  • 500 grams ground turkey
  • 450 grams red kidney beans with juice
  • 500 ml tomato sauce
  • 4 tomatoes (chopped)
  • 2 onions (finely chopped)
  • 1 green bell pepper (seeded and finely chopped)
  • 2 clove garlic (minced)
  • 3 tablespoons chilli powder
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • Salt to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper to taste
