TERIYAKI ROLLS

Preparation Method :

  • To make the teriyaki sauce, heat the butter in a pan. Add the ginger and onion and saute till golden brown.
  • Add the white wine and cook till the mixture reduces a little.
  • Add the crushed black grapes and continue to cook, stirring, for five to seven minutes till the grapes are soft.
  • Add the soy sauce, pepper powder, salt, molasses and honey. Mix well and strain.
  • Heat the oil in a pan; add the capsicums, mushrooms, onion and tofu and toss for two minutes.
  • Stir in the teriyaki sauce and cook for two minutes. Divide the mixture into four portions.
  • Cut the crusty rolls in half and spread one portion of the vegetable and tofu mixture on one half of each roll and cover with the other half.
  • Serve immediately.

 

INGREDIENTS

  • 6 medium crusty bread rolls
  • 4 medium green capsicums, sliced
  • 15 fresh button mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 large onion, sliced
  • 200 grams tofu cubes
  • 2 tablespoon Cooking oil

Teriyaki sauce

  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 2 inch ginger, sliced
  • 2 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 200 ml white wine
  • 20 black grapes, roughly crushed by hand
  • 2 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper powder
  • 2 tablespoon molasses
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • Salt to taste
