JAPANESE BEEF AND RICE BOWL

Another popular Asian dish, the Japanese Beef and Rice bowl is a traditional Japanese dish found in most places. It’s substantial, filling and yet healthy prepared. Are you in need of energy today, this is the perfect dish.

Preparation Time :
30 minutes

Cooking Time :
40 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Rinse the Beef very well, dry it off and then cut it in small bite size pieces.
  • Warm up a pan over medium heat and add Butter. Once the Butter is melted, add the Beef pieces and stir fry until the Beef is half way cooked.
  • Now add the Sake and the Onions. Keep stir frying to blend the contents until the Onions are soft.
  • Flavor the dish with Shoyu Sauce, the Brown Sugar, the Hondashi and the Ginger Juice.
  • Mix well to make sure all the contents blend well together, then add the Dried Bonito Fish Stock and let it simmer until everything is thoroughly mixed, then finally add the Green Onions and again mix thoroughly.
  • Now remove it from the heat and serve with hot Japanese Rice.

INGREDIENTS

  • 400 grams of cooked Japanese Rice
  • 400 grams Sirloin Beef
  • 1 Head of Onion, Sliced
  • 40 Grams of Salted Butter
  • 100 grams of Japanese Green Onions
  • 100 grams of dried Bonito Fish Stock
  • 1 Tablespoon of Brown Sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons of Shoyu Sauce
  • 2 Tablespoons of fresh Ginger Juice
  • 2 Tablespoons of Sake
  • ½ Hondashi
