DEEP FRIED BREADED PORK CUTLET

Preparation Time :
30 minutes

Cooking Time :
45 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Rinse the pork cutlets and use a napkin to dab until dry.
  • Using a fork, pierce all over both sides of the cutlet and sprinkle the salt and pepper combination.
  • Leave to marinate for 10-15 minutes.
  • Coat the prepped cutlet with wheat flour and lightly pat the flour coating with your fingers to ensure it stick all over the pork cutlet.
  • Douse in egg mixture and dip in bread crumbs until the cutlet is fully covered. Repeat twice.
  • Pour oil into frying pan and set over high heat until extremely hot then lower heat to medium.
  • Place pork cutlet in the pan and fry until golden on both sides, remove and lay on paper napkin to absorb the oil.
  • Slice into bite-sized pieces and place over hot cooked rice.
  • Serve with tonkatsu sauce.

INGREDIENTS

  • 500 grams cooked Japanese rice
  • 4 pieces pork sirloin cutlet
  • 1 teaspoon ground salt and pepper combination
  • 4 chicken eggs
  • 500 grams wheat flour
  • 500 grams bread crumb
  • Tonkatsu sauce for dipping
  • Sesame oil for frying
