ASSORTED SUSHI

Sushi is definitely one of the most popular foods and dishes of today’s society. And an integral dish in Asian culture. It is one thing eating Sushi out, but what an experience preparing it at home. Impress yourself and your guest with a homemade, fresh Sushi and be remembered until the next occasion.

Preparation Method :

  • Make sure to wash all the fish properly and thoroughly. Then cut the Soy Sauce Grilled Eel, the Salmon, the Tuna, the Octopus and the Sweet Omelet in long, bite sized pieces.
  • Then cut the Sheets of Nori Seaweed in narrow strips, 4 inches long and about ½ inch wide to strap around the Sushi to hold the meet, the topping and the rice mould together.
  • Then cut the Sheets of Nori Seaweed into rectangular sheets of 1 ½ x 4 ¾ inches for wrapping around the Sushi Rice with toppings of Salmon Roe or Shrimp Roe.
  • Then pick 40 grams (2 ounces) of Sushi Rice and place it in the right hand and then press it into an oblong mound.
  • Squeeze a small quantity of Wasabi on top of the Rice mound and place the Raw Fish topping over it, strapping the formation together with the long Nori strip.
  • Repeat the process with the remainder of the ingredients.
  • Now pick 40 grams of Sushi Rice and press it in a rounded mound drape and in the rectangular pieces of Nori around the sides of the Rice mounds, adding a few drops of water to stick the ends of the Nori sheet together.
  • Now scoop some Shrimp or Salmon Roe and put it on top of the formation. Repeat the process until the remainder of the Shrimp and Salmon Roe are used up.
  • Now arrange the finished Sushi on a plate together with the Wasabi and the Shoyu Sauce and garnish the plate with grated Daikon and Carrots on the side.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 kg Sushi Rice
  • 300 Grams of fresh Eel Meat (grilled with soy sauce)
  • 20 Sweet Shrimps
  • 2 Pieces of fresh Salmon Sashimi
  • 2 Pieces of fresh Tuna Sashimi
  • 400 Grams of Sweet Omelet
  • 2 Pieces of Octopus
  • 400 grams of Shrimp Roe
  • 400 grams of Salmon Roe
  • 10 Sheets of Nori Seaweed
  • Grated Daikon and Carrots
  • Wasabi and Shoyu Sauce for dipping
