FENNEL BAKED WITH CREAM AND PARMESAN

Preparation Time :
10 minutes

Cooking Time :
30 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Trim the outside leaves from the fennel, remove the hard central core, and slice the fennel lengthwise.
  • Immerse the leaves in a pan of boiling water and cook for 5 minutes. Drain well.
  • Butter a shallow ovenproof dish. Add the fennel and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  • Pour over the cream and sprinkle with the Parmesan.
  • Place the dish at the top of a preheated oven, 400°F and cook for 20 minutes.
  • Let the top of the fennel turn a deep golden brown.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 kg Florence fennel
  • Small knob of butter
  • 300 grams heavy cream
  • 400 grams freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper
